I've been riding on buses in quite a lot of countries and of course NOTHING can beat Mongolian buses. But NZ buses are a class apart as well. Except for the bus stations which look shabby everywhere, there is no toilet, no table, no footrest, very limited recline on the coach. And the streets are in that kind of condition that you can't lean your head on the window or type in letters on your smartphone properly.
Authentic traveling is the coolest way of traveling. :)
